I am Dr. Scott Silverman, an experienced educator, and therapist on Long Island. I received my Doctorate Degree from Boston University with a focus on Adolescent Development and Sport Psychology. I started Therapy Long Island to bring back the light into people’s souls.

Lori Alrod

Exceeding Expectations One Patient at a Time

Lori is a psychotherapist, consultant, and life coach with over 24 years of experience in the field of mental health. Lori specializes in Addiction and Eating Disorders and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.

Lori has completed a Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology at Lesley University (Cambridge, Massachusetts), and later studied and worked for The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in New York City.

She has maintained a private practice in New York for 20 years, where she worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, codependency parenting problems, divorce, career challenges, grief and loss, loneliness, substance abuse, eating disorders and trauma and abuse.

Lori has also appeared on the CBS early show as well as radio as an expert consultant.
