The Normal Stages of Divorce and How to Ease Past Them with Mindfulness

Dr. Silverman sees Patients for Marital Issues and has contributed articles on keeping calm when going through issues, separation, or divorce. “One of the more effective aids in helping the patient or couple is to improve listening and communication skills. Learning Mindfulness can help with this since it focuses on awareness of the present moment. 

Dr. Silverman has written for many publications on parenting. He was featured on WFAN on how to be an effective “sports parent”. He also enjoys helping stressed-out parents learn coping skills and techniques to calm themselves down and thus have a bigger impact on their children.

Having a handicapped child can be overwhelming for some parents. When visiting a Physical therapy center in Michigan and watching handicapped children use a special space suit to gain increased muscle capacity, Dr. Silverman sensed a need to help the parents as well. Thus, he became a contributor to Cerebral Palsy Magazine.
